Littlepip in the rain [dress up game] by me and Stratege! Most of what you SEE is by me, but a hell of a lot would’ve been impossible without his ease with coding. (thank you so much for being my coding guru in need <3 ) I copied and stumbled around with random code from tutorials for a bit, laid some ground work with layers within layers and stuff, but the real brain-work that makes things so darn smooth is all thanks to him. If you’re into github, you shall check him out!

Game link!

Well guys, I finally dug into flash properly and solved this problem I’ve had where I try in vain to not spam everyone with alternative versions whenever I get to posting something. Maybe it hasn’t been that spammy, especially on deviantart, but on my side it has sure felt that way. (since I’m the one picking out what to keep and what to leave behind ;n; ) The results: a dress up game, where you can combine things however you want! Almost! You can’t really give her everything at once or anything like that, as it’s divided into layers to make sure that everything works together without clipping. But it’s decent.

I’ve been in a bad/meh state when it comes to artblock and such lately and haven’t drawn very often at all. But a few weeks ago I was encouraged to stream some on picarto to force myself into a swing. After many fails I finally managed something easy, a simple Littlepip, which I promptly started playing around with as I always do whenever I get something going. Then the testing and playing around with flash and online tutorials began, and Stratege stepped into the picture after hearing I needed help with getting the code the way I wanted. A lot of work later and a long break, I figured it’s better I release it than sit and grumble over what else to do with it. Just the little story, as always.

Why is she in the rain? I don’t know. Maybe she felt dirty and needed to get wet for a bit.

If you’d like more flashes like this, or updates to this game in particular, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. :) This only started as a test, but grew a lot bigger than I anticipated. A couple friends also took screenshots when testing and sent them to me, which was super cool. I’d love to see what combinations you guys could come up with, if ye got the time. D: Maybe I’ll make a compilation or something, for the heck of it.

Hope you enjoy!
